MAGNI 565

MAGNI 565 is a coating system that consists of the following products:

MAGNI B46 (base coat)

MAGNI B46 is a non-electrolytic zinc and aluminium flake coating, which is bonded to the metal substrate through a curing process. The coating does not contain hazardous heavy metals (Cr6+ free).

The minimum coating thickness for bulk treatment depends on the customer requirements. It varies from 6 to 8 µm

MAGNI B18

MAGNI B18 is a solvent based organic coating that provides:

- Good corrosion resistance
- Colour for identification purposes
- Good coefficient of friction
- Avoidance of corrosion due to contact with anodic metals (aluminium, magnesium)

The layer thickness of MAGNI B18 varies from 4 to 6 µm.

MAGNI B46 and B18 with a total layer of 12 µm thickness provide a good corrosion resistance in salt spray test from 400 h to white rust and 1000 h to red rust acc. to DIN 50021 or ASTM B117.

PROPERTIES OF MAGNI 565

This coating system has the following properties:
- No hydrogen embrittlement
- Appearance. Silver colour and uniform coating
- Low coefficient of friction. It can be adjusted to the required values
- Cure temperature at 250 ºC. Mechanical properties of most parts are not detrimentally affected.
- Cathodic corrosion protection
- Chemical resistance to organic solvents
- Environmentally friendly
