PVD

DESCRIPTION

PVD is a coating process that generates ceramic and metal thin layers on different substrates through an ion plasma under high-vacuum conditions.

Some metals that can be deposited are titanium, aluminium, chromium, zirconium, molybdenum, etc.

APPLICATION SCOPE

Ceramic tiles, decorative metallic parts, door handles, moulds, cutting tools, automotive parts, etc.

PROPERTIES

PVD coatings can provide a high hardness for cuttings tools, high temperature resistance, good corrosion protection, biocompatible with surgical instruments (dental instruments), low coefficient of friction, environmentally friendly (process and deposited materials).

It is important to mention its decorative applications due to its bright metallic appearance, chemical resistance, wear and abrasion resistance, good friction properties, which provide the so-called LONG LIFE GUARANTEE.
