HISTORY
The first
years of the little factory known as 'ELS BANYS'
('the baths'), where "Galvanoquímica Olleriense"
was founded, seem long ago.
Five friends began to work
in 1,974, though they did not have too much knowledge of the technology and
skills in this new activity, their effort and illusion compensated for their
lack .
The first parts to be treated, were zinc plated chairs and lamps for local customers.
At the end of the seventies, with the arrival of FORD
to Valencia, we began to coat screws for our main customer Tornillería
Universal, S.A. (TUSA), the predecessor of KAMAX, S.A.,
and with the incorporation of a new managing director, Mr. Fernandez, the company
began to work with automated coating facilities and under the philosophy Q1
from Ford.
1,982. The 1st big barrel zinc plating installation
is implemented.
1,984. The 1st installation for the bulk application
of zinc flake coatings (Delta-tone) is implemented.
1,990. We started our activity with customers
of Barcelona (Catalonia) and specially with DYTSA (Girona).
1,994. Fruit of an advanced environmental social
awareness, a great technical and economic effort is made with the construction
of a new waste water treatment installation. For this reason, we deserved
the nomination to the Principe Felipe Prize for Business Excellence.
1,996. We obtained the certification of our
quality management system according to UNE-EN ISO 9002:1994.
1,997. With the specialization in some finishes,
Galol dedicates its efforts to R&D, obtaining the patent "ESLOK".
1.997. We joined the company "Jean &
Chaumont International, S.L., which meant a great change by the economic and
work effort of having two production plants coordinated and located at 400
km from each other, but it made us leaders with a great coating system as
it is case of Dacromet.
1,998. Encouraged by the great demand, we decided
to run a new production plant in San Andrés de la Barca, getting closer
to customers of a very important industrial zone such as Barcelona.
1,999. We upgraded the certification of our quality
management system to the Ford GM and Daimler Chrysler automotive specification
QS 9000.
1,999., A new plant of Jean & Chaumont Int.,
S.A. is implemented in the Basque Country, with production facilities that
offer a better service to its customers.
2,000. Increase in size of the plant in Toledo
to provide customers in the area of Madrid with more surface finishes and
increase of production capacity of current installations.
2,001. A two-years task was finished, giving
as a result the implementation of a new installation for the application of
zinc flake coatings, that guarantees functionality of fastener hexalobular
driving feature(no recess-filling).
2,002. As a previous step to obtain the certification
ISO 14001, we have increased the size of ourwaste water treatment installations
and our storage premises for storage of chemicals in a 2,000 sqm building
2,003. We started this year the ambitious project
of implementing an installation of P.V.D., (physical vapour deposition) for
the deposition of titanium, zirconium, etc. With this new challenge we want
to be among the best coaters in Europe of these innovative coatings, offering
our customers in Spain this new finishes.
2,004. We obtained the certification of our quality
management system according to ISO/TS 16949:2002 for our plants in Valencia
and Barcelona
